Keeping children safe
Please let us know by phone call or letter if your child is going home with someone different.  Likewise, could you also please call us
if you know you are going to be late picking up your child.  It saves any anxiety on your child’s part (and ours!) as to what has happened
to you.

Medication
If your child needs to take medication during the school day, please ensure that you fill in the appropriate form
(available from the school office).  We are unable to administer any medication without this form being correctly filled in.

If you have an area of expertise or interest and would like to share it with the children, either as a one-off session or as a regular club,
please don’t hesitate to come in and talk to us about it.  We are keen to draw on your interests in order to try to provide as wide
a range of clubs and opportunities as possible to the children.

Payments
When sending money into the office please ensure that it is in an envelope with the amount on the front, the name of your child/children
and what the money is for.

Forms
Any forms that need to be returned to the office should be handed in by your child/children to the class teacher at registration.
Dinner Money
We will send termly reminders of how much dinner money will be for the whole term. If you are on income support or low income, your child/children
may be entitled to free school dinners.  Forms are available from the office and all requests are treated in complete confidence.  If your child/children
already receive free dinners, please ensure that you have completed your revised application form for September as benefits are not back-payable.
Attendance - requests for absence
From September, any requests for absence will need to b e on either a Holiday request form or Medical/Dental Appointment form.
Holiday  Request Forms - please ensure these are handed in
as early as possible (as soon as the holiday is booked or you are considering booking) to be authorised/unauthorised by the Headteacher.

Medical/Dental Appointment Request Forms - this form will need to  be authorised by the Headteacher at least 1 week in advance of the appointment.
This is because of safety issues in releasing children during the course of the school day.  Also attendance codes have all changed and the school, by law,
has to keep an accurate account of all absences throughout the day, for whatever reason.

The new forms are available from the office and this will be school policy from September 1st 2006.

Please do not use the school staff car park for dropping off
or collecting children.  There is a real risk of children being
knocked down whilst they are making their way into school.
